Joint counseling for IIT & AIEEE - Education News in Kakinada.
Hyderabad, Sep 21st: The counseling for the two premier national level engineering entrance examinations, IIT-JEE and AIEEE is likely to be integrated from the next academic year 2010-11. However both the exams will be held separately. The move was made after the Union Ministry of HRD suggested the officials of IIT-JEE and AIEEE to explore the options for conducting common counseling to ensure that seats do not fall vacant after the admissions are over. The ministry has also convened a meeting in New Delhi with the directors of IITs and the officials of CBSE, which conducts the AIEEE exam.
